Korg nanoKEY2 Slim-Line USB Keyboard, Black Review
Pros*Small
*durable
*lightweight
*SUPER FAST ACTION (I put in some fast double bass notes and it responded great!)
*lights on octave keys a big plus
*sustain is awesome
*Great for inputting notes into Sibelius, especially with Virtual Drumline
*Great for putting simple ideas into a DAW
*Velocity Sensitive aspet of the keys works very well
*Plug n Play (I'm on Mac OS X)
Cons
*Keys are like laptop keys so you won't be doing super fast keyboard runs on this thing without some awkwardness. The Akai keyboards are a little better for that (but they are super springy) But then again, why would you do super fast runs on a 2 octave travel keyboard?
Overall: This thing is great for note input into Finale/Sibelius and REALLY great for putting in drum beats into your daw. In fact, I like it better than the nanopad. It will capture simple melodic ideas for sequencer use, but don't expect to be ripping out your scales on this thing. Overall it's great for what I bought it for, virtual drumline :)
