Mighty Bright Triple LED Music Stand Light (Black With Batteries) Review
The light is considerably brighter than a single-lamp gooseneck and comes with its own "gig bag," but the added brightness proved inadequate to the task of peering over the top of a Manhasset stand and illuminating a score. In fact, I couldn't keep the light from shining in my eyes, making it more--not less--difficult to read the music. Unfortunate, since the design (it telescopes into a trim-looking jacknife-size device and has an extremely generous-sized clip) is well thought out. But before the first number was concluded, I was borrowing an electrical lamp. These portable, battery-operated lights are occasionally useful for reading a book, but I have yet to find one that can make good on its claims to light a music stand.[I'll give it a 4th star because looking at it the next day I can't understand why I had difficulty making it focus on the music. Perhaps I didn't have it fully extended.]
